Older adults know they need to exercise. With each passing month of putting it off, they feel more stiffness, shortness of breath, lethargy, little lapses in balance here and there…or maybe worse, like falling at home.
In the Senior Exercise Training profession, we spend the a good portion of our time focusing on muscle strength. We do so by way of targeting muscle imbalances that lead to joint dysfunction and immobility. But that's only part of it. The body interacts with the environment. It needs flexibility of limbs and trunk to reach and bend and step and stretch. The cardiopulmonary system needs to build endurance - the capacity to climb stairs, stroll on the beach, and walk in the parking lot to your favorite store or restaurant (outdoor seating of course).
And balance…there’s ankle strategy, hip strategy, and stepping strategy…reactions you don’t even think about on a daily basis, but you need them all to…well…NOT FALL at home!
Care In Home Senior Exercise Training helps improve balance, strength, mobility, fall prevention and more. Don’t wait until your loved one has what we call in the business, a FALL with INJURY. The steps you take today will lead to quick results and life-long benefits.
